What Is Self Realization? Who Am I?

Self Realization is the attainment of God hood. Awakening is to know yourself or as Master Ranjit Maharaj says “Awakening Is Nothing But Understanding –A Complete Thorough Understanding. A Clear Cut Understanding Of A Thing Is Awakening” . It is discovering who you are. Be warned To define Self Realization is a contradiction in itself because words come from there ,so to use words taints its very definition and meaning,

Saints of ages have tried to define it but with no success. So the term “Neti Neti ,(not this, not this) is used , anything you define as the self is simply not it. In the end it can be better defined as What Is Not. For lack of better words, Self Realization is knowing without a shred of doubt the answer to the question “Who am I? It is an Awakening so to speak. To be Self Realized transcends the sleeping, the waking and the deep sleep state. It is knowing the answers to the most pressed questions of human existence
like who am I? Why are we here? What is the purpose of life? Who is God? Where is God? All that I have said does it no justice. To understand what it is you must “experience it“
Self awareness includes the complete dissolving of the indidiual or the ego. Therefore there is no one to say “I am Realized” It is the complete removal of the “I am ” and / or “I am the body” idea

It is a state (stateless state ) of oneness. Now bare in mind to use the term Oneness is itself false because to say there is Oneness means there is a witness of this Oneness.However as the Self there is no trace of Duality Or Individuality. It is being Everything and yet being Nothing (nothing as an individual ego)

In human terms it can best defined as a state of bliss. The self is devoid of emotion or duality. So there is neither pleasure, bliss nor sorrow in that stateless state. Humans cannot fathom this idea because it is An UNKNOWN state or idea to say the least. The fear of being alone prevents the ego from even contemplating such a stateless state

This website was designed to honor the Master Ranjit Maharaj and his teachings. It is here to help point you in the right direction in your personal journey in finding the Self.

To find yourself will require tremendous courage and contemplation. In short you must want to find your Self as much as a drowning man is grasping for air. You can’t go half way. And whiles you are already the Self, without effort you can’t get “there” (there is no where to get too) and yet all the effort in the world will never get you “there”. A contradiction to say the least.

You will find books on this site that I encourage you to read and contemplate on. . I should mention that it is always best to find alive master to help you answer questions you may have. The Master after all is there to remove doubts from your mind

You will also find commentaries on the words of the Master under the blog section. These will be my understanding of it –in the end you must find your own understanding and when you do, it will be The Ultimate Knowledge. There is relative knowledge which is knowledge that is acquired knowledge (from reading etc) - This in all knowledge you know of and can acquire. And then there is Real Knowledge which you have to discover for yourself. It concludes with Finding your Self

Although words are illusion and concepts they are the best tools you (save the Masters Voice) To use to remove doubt. With words you have attained ignorance of your true Self, so with words you can drown or fight the ignorance that clouds your true Self or nature. Iin the end that Knowledge will have to be discarded as well

To better explain it. imagine the sign at a restaurant that says EXIT The words EXIT do not allow you to experience the act of exiting the building, it is merely a pointer, similarly the words of the Master are pointers or tools, in which you you have to “experience” or “discover ” for yourself . I commend you on getting this far in the Search for the Self. Stay steady and determined and you will discover who you are
